  Road Apples Inc. is the result of more than 30 years of the love of  

“Everything Horse” by Pamela MacKinnon , the hands-on owner. 

Pam has been in the Tack Business for more than twelve years, providing quality goods to the English Rider. 

In 2005, Pam was asked if she would be interested in being the exclusive tack shop in a planned Equestrian Subdivision being developed in a suburb of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Pam swallowed hard and said “Yes!” 

On June 15, 2006 Road Apples opened for business, at 128 Appaloosa Run, in Voyageur Lakes Equestrian Community, 

on an unpaved road, and totally alone, except for a family of deer, some pheasants, and a field of clover which supplied a most intoxicating perfume when the wind blew the right way.

By early 2009, because Road Apples was "bursting at the seams", Pam commissioned the construction of a new building.  

On February 9, 2010, Road Apples moved into this brand new home at 5 Bridle Path, off Citation Drive, just around the corner and down the street from Appaloosa Run. 

Pam continues to source new products for horse and rider, English and Western, and unique fashion apparel for everyone.

Pam is excited to be an Elite Dealer for Prestige, a saddle that she considers to be the lightest, most versatile and attractive, available today. 

As an Animal Owner ( 2 Horses 2 Dogs ) Pam is also dynamically involved in researching and sourcing the best , and most appropriate supplements and foods for Horses, Dogs and Cats.
